Rafael Gómez is a final-year SRL student from the Dominican Republic. He joyfully began to labor as an interim missionary pastor in Quibdó, a remote town in the Darien Jungle region between Panamá and Colombia. The weather is hot, humid and it rains almost every day. Neither the inclement conditions—nor the guerrillas and criminal gangs—in this remote region were able to stop Rafael from serving God’s Kingdom, even before graduation. SRL ALUMNI LEADING THE CENTRAL AMERICAN REFORMATION

Pastor Saul Barahona and Samuel Bustillo, both exemplary SRL alumni, are boldly preaching the gospel and spreading the Reformation in Honduras.

Pastor Jeremías González, another SRL graduate, embraces the same conviction, advancing the legacy of the Reformation in Guadalajara, Mexico.

This month, Dr. Acosta and Mimi are traveling to both countries. Mimi will teach the Book of Ruth to ladies and Dr. Acosta will teach the Book of Romans at the SRL sites. He will participate as a speaker at the Foundations of the Faith Conference in Honduras and at a conference on Roman Catholicism in Mexico.

We are grateful to Ligonier Ministries for providing 1600 books and materials, and for sending brother Emanuel Betances to introduce the Reformation Study Bible to pastors and people attending the conference in Honduras.
