Registration &
Government Authorization

SRL is committed to providing sound theological education in the Reformed doctrines of grace.

SRL is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. It is authorized by the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) to award bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. These degrees are for ecclesiastical purposes only, not for secular purposes. SRL is accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).

Seminario Reformado Latino Americano is an Affiliate institution of the Association of Reformed Theological Seminaries. As such, it participates in and contributes to collegial and professional development activities of the Association, and is committed to the quality of education ARTS promotes. Affiliate status does not, however, constitute, imply, or presume ARTS accredited status at present or in the future.

You can verify the registration of the Latin American Reformed Seminary by visiting the official Florida Department of Education website.

This registration with the Department of Education of the State of Florida does not mean accreditation. Accreditation is a mechanism of the North American government and other private institutions through which they try to guarantee the quality of the registered academic programs. Accreditation in the USA is an optional matter taken by universities and higher education institutions. Not all universities opt for accreditation; therefore, international standards of academic quality can be met without this process.

Because the purpose of SRL is to train believers for the work of the ecclesiastical ministry, our institution is not accredited by any governmental agency. We have chosen to work internally to maintain and always seek the highest standards of educational quality, guaranteeing all our students theological programs in accordance with the practices of the most recognized seminars in the USA and Europe.

However, registration with the Florida State Department of Education guarantees that our seminar is not a pirated entity. Annually, this department issues a letter in which it states that our institution has complied with the requirements for the renewal of said registry.
