TULIP AND THE DOCTRINES OF GRACE
We completed the presentation of TULIP to Latin America with conferences taught by prominent theologians. These doctrines of grace were well-received. Thousands of pastors and tens of thousands of individuals participated. A great number of questions were asked with few objections. The respect for the Bible was evident, as well as the desire to learn and preach the whole counsel of God. The success of these lessons was extraordinary. In the following two months, the SOLAS of the Reformation and the Sovereignty of God will be taught in six lectures.
NINE MARKS OF THE REFORMED PASTOR
This course was virtually taught in thirty hours by Dr. Acosta and 6 pastors. The main topics were: (2F’s & 7P’s) 1. Faith; 2. Family; 3. Prayer; 4. Preparation – Remote (Study of the Bible and Academic Theological preparation); 5. Preaching Preparation; 6. Preaching – Expository; 7. Pastoring; 8. Preparation of Liturgy and Sacraments; and 9. Paperwork (Administration). Seminarians from all the SRL sites participated, plus over 4,000 other individuals. The transcript of this course will soon be published as a book.
SRL IS TAKEN INTO SPACE BY ASTRONAUT CAPTAIN BARRY WILMORE
Astronaut Cpt. Wilmore gave a fascinating lecture with videos and photos to Latin America regarding his space trip around the earth in 90 minutes. He spoke about the sovereignty and the glory of God. In his upcoming space trip this year, he will be wearing his SRL t-shirt and, using the SRL logo, he will send a message to SRL contributors, professors, and students. SRL GRADUATION IN ORLANDO, FL
We are so grateful to the Lord for the first graduation in Orlando this year. Our profound appreciation goes out to Dr. Martin Schriefer, Dr. Don Kistler, Dr. James Bearss, Professor Jack Jenkins, Professor Isaias Godoy, Pastor Ron Woods, and Pastor Desmond Gilmore for their participation in this ceremony. Congratulations to Pastor Ramón Torres for the successful completion of his master’s degree!
