SRL 12th ANNUAL REFORMATION CONVENTION – OCTOBER 17 TO 22, 2022

THE CHURCH IN THE WORLD VS. THE WORLD IN THE CHURCH

By God’s mercy, some of the most powerful reformers of this century will participate in this mega convention. It will be broadcasted entirely in English or in Spanish without simultaneous translation. The hunger for the Reformed doctrines in Latin America is so great that thousands are willing to watch and listen to several speakers per night, for 35 minutes each. Last year’s convention attracted over half a million people. A link will be available soon on the SRL website.

Emanuel Betances will also join the conference to give a brief report about the outreach efforts of Ligonier Ministries in Latin America. Mr. Betances has traveled across Latin America promoting Ligonier’s Spanish and Portuguese resources and heading the distribution of thousands of ministry edition copies of The Reformation Study Bible in Spanish and Portuguese to pastors, leaders, and seminary students. The Reformation Study Bible is an essential tool for pastors and leaders to deepen their knowledge of God and the Doctrines of Grace to properly preach the true Gospel.

PROLIFERATION OF REFORMED CHURCHES IS THE TANGIBLE FRUIT OF SRL

In a previous letter, we reported that a group of churches initiated a project to plant 125 Reformed churches. God has richly blessed that initiative. A small congregation in upstate Pennsylvania started a campaign to help. In June, that church sent a check for $26,400.00 to support the project. Another person donated toward the rent of a building for a church in Chile. SRL in Cochabamba, Bolivia, has given priority to students whose specific goal is to become pastors and plant churches. They live on campus and intensive education is provided. The local church must learn to become self-sufficient. The assistance to each church is temporary. Thank you to the local church in Pennsylvania and to all contributors to SRL.

SUPREME COURT RULING—ADONAI VIDA Y DIGNIDAD PROLIFE CENTER

We are grateful to God for lifting the curse of Roe from the USA. The abortion tragedy continues to plague Latin America. Faithful Reformed churches under the leadership of SRL have established two prolife centers in Bogotá and Medellín. They are taking this opportunity to have conversations and publicity regarding the premeditated crime of killing the child by abortion. They are also duplicating efforts to help expectant mothers to preserve the life of the baby. Our gratitude for the contributions toward these efforts.
