THE 11TH ANNUAL SRL CONVENTION—A SUCCESS TO THE GLORY OF GOD!

CLOSE TO 200,000 TOTAL VIEWS RECEIVED ON ALL PLATFORMS

For 22 years, SRL has labored to bring the Reformation to Latin America through education. This convention demonstrated the effectiveness of that strategy. The speakers openly reaffirmed the 16th Century Reformation doctrines, causing an explosion of internet chat responses. Thousands who heard these doctrines for the first time questioned them, while some protested them. Thousands who learned these doctrines under SRL’s ministry responded with love and conviction, quoting Scripture and providing reasons for their Reformed faith. Well-known expositors who spoke from distant countries and continents agreed with each other, thereby knitting together a strong reassurance about the truth of the Gospel. This was God’s providential time to openly speak about the sovereignty of God, the supreme authority of the Bible, justification by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone, according to God’s gracious election, and the powerful ministry of the Holy Spirit. The SRL team is responding to hundreds of questions by internet. Some key topics will be addressed in a series of Q&A—via Zoom and YouTube sessions—beginning on November 19, 2021. The questions demonstrate that thousands were paying close attention to the speakers and were held captive by the eternal truths of the Bible.

For nearly 24 hours of lectures and Q&A, this six-day convention realized an audience of nearly 200,000 viewers who participated from around the globe, more than 37 countries—spanning 6 continents. The number of views for videos recorded in English and Spanish continues to climb as they are shared at a rate of about 1000 per day!

SRL thanks the translators, singers, musicians, ministry organizations, churches, and volunteers who served in the production of the sessions. A special note of appreciation goes to Benjamin Barrera Bautista who, as the chief video editor, director, and producer, did a magnificent job!

Special gratitude is extended to the large number of distinguished theologians and expositors who deeply appreciate the ministry of SRL. With their “hand of fellowship,” these ministers of the Word of God served with SRL to bring the Gospel and Doctrines of Grace to thousands. With this, I must also recognize Dr. Noé S. Acosta who, with his dear Mimi, coordinated all operations, speakers, and directed the entire convention.
