EIGHTEEN DISTINGUISHED THEOLOGIANS GATHER TO FAN THE NEW REFORMATION FIRE

For logistical reasons, we changed the dates for the SRL Annual Latin American Reformed Theological Convention. It will take place from September 13 to 18, 2021. The theme is The Person and Ministry of The Holy Spirit. We are grateful to God for sending us some of the most powerful reformers of this century. Kindly see the line-up further down on this page.

This convention will be broadcasted entirely in English or in Spanish without simultaneous translation. The hunger for the Reformed doctrines in Latin America is so great that thousands are willing to watch and listen to three speakers per night, for 35 minutes each. They are already calling it “The Most Significant Super Event of the Latin American Reformation.”

WHY SO FEW REFORMED SPANISH SPEAKING CHURCHES IN THE UNITED STATES?

The Answer: Because most Spanish pastors do not have access to theological education in current Reformed seminaries. It is exceedingly difficult to compete when one is not fluent in English. Thus, SRL began a campaign to provide education in Spanish in several larger cities within the United States. Students may attend courses in person or through Zoom where they can interact with their professors and other students. They can also take courses in Spanish or English online with opportunities for direct communication with professors and assistant professors.

How can you help? By sharing this information with Spanish speaking churches, with Hispanics in your congregation, or with friends who may want to study at SRL. They can communicate in Spanish or English at admissions@srlusa.org, or by web at www.srlusa.org.

DR. JOE FITZPATRICK, AFTER TEACHING IN SRL CHILE, WROTE:

“Every time I think about my time together with seminarians, I smile. I may teach the same core content of a course several times; but what makes or breaks the course is the feedback, communication, dialogue, etc. The level of participation was wonderful. I met some very humble and hungry students. Sometimes it seems that 20% of the students do 80% of the talking. Not this time, however. It seemed most of the students actively participated via sharing their questions, concerns, comments, excitement, etc. I still think about this group and continue to pray for them. I have been very impressed with what I have experienced with/through SRL that I would like to dedicate the majority of my time to teaching in many SRL centers.”

Pray earnestly for the expansion of the Kingdom and please support SRL as it labors to fulfill this mission.

Sincerely in Christ,

Dr. Del Belcher, SRL Executive Administrator
