CORRECTION
In the newsletter for December 2020, the first paragraph stated, “Besides attending traditional courses, close to 100,000 students have followed the Reformed Theological Lectures through Zoom.” That information was incorrect since SRL does not have 100,000 students. We meant 100,000 people. Beginning in 2021, SRL will have about 1,000 students. At the Medellin campus alone 105 seminarians applied to study in the new year. SRL established sites in the majority of the countries in Latin America.
SRL SEMINARY IS FULFILLING ITS MISSION. GRADUATES ARE BUSY PLANTING REFORMED CHURCHES.
Pastor Leonel Soto graduated in 2019 from SRL Medellín. Today, (recent picture on the right) he is pastoring a Reformed church in his native Venezuela in a remote place close to the frontier of Brazil. The church building is a large tent near the Amazon jungle. The congregation is growing in a magnificent way. SRL would like to provide financial support to these new churches for the first year. These young pastors do not have the resources to survive without our help. At the rate of $3,000.00 a year per church, SRL intends to provide support to at least 10 new churches like this, for one or two years, until they, progressively, can become self-supported. SRL IS GRATEFUL TO LIGONIER MINISTRIES AND DR. BURK PARSONS
On December 10, 2020, Mr. Chris Larson, President of Ligonier Ministries, and Dr. Burk Parsons addressed Latin America through SRL. Mr. Larson introduced the Ligonier Reformation Study Bible in Spanish, which arrived in Latin America at the perfect, critical time, when literally millions began to learn about and understand the Doctrines of Grace. This Bible is like a library. Dr. Parsons presented the Doctrine of Unconditional Election from TULIP. Over 85,000 people joined! We invite you to watch the video here: http://bit.ly/SRL1210.
