With your help, by God’s grace, SRL is using many beautiful feet to obey the great commission mandate. The current crisis forced us to fight back with creative ways to successfully continue and expand the mission, regardless of the current crisis. Thank God for professors like Dr. Joel Beeke, Dr. Thomas Ascol, Dr. Steven Lawson, Dr. Sam Waldron, Dr. Paul Bankson, Dr. James Bearss, and many others who have provided or are videotaping more than 25 entire courses in English. Translators in Colombia will be dubbing these courses into Spanish. Dubbing saves a lot of time, allowing us to provide 30-hour courses. It costs over a $1,000.00 to prepare and dub each course, but it is a great alternative. Many of these professors will be interacting with the students by Zoom after the seminarians, under the direction of SRL site coordinators, complete the courses. After the crisis is over, several of the professors will also travel to the SRL sites and personally meet the students to provide reviews and mentor pastors. We also had to upgrade the online platform because the number of students online increased dramatically.
Our students in Cuba and Venezuela will have to get these courses in USB memory sticks because of the poor internet system. Besides the education, we must continue to send money to help them survive. Some churches are taking turns to eat one meal per day so that everyone can eat a little.
SRL has successfully complied with the annual financial report to ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability), the Association of Reformed Theological Seminaries and to the Florida Department of Education. The annual financial report is available upon request.
