The Cuban pastors, who organized the April module, are requesting a meeting with the Cuban Council of Churches in order to facilitate the sending of SRL modular missionary professors
Statistically, less than 3% of church members in the USA go to serve as missionaries in foreign lands. The main reason is because, simply, many can’t go, or are not called or sent.
We are grateful that those who cannot physically go can find tremendous joy in going with their prayers and financial help. If God calls you to give, here are some specific needs. 1. We must still pay a $238,000.00 mortgage balance for the buildings in Medellin. 2. We need $28,000.00 for major building repairs and renovations. 3. Compensation for faithful workers on the field will take $120,000.00. 4. SRL needs $100,000.00 to pay for office space, personnel salaries (such as Director of Operations and Fund Raiser, Administrator, Secretary/Bookkeeper, Academic Dean, and CPA), as well as operating expenses, in order to maintain a solid, lasting and stable administration. All of these are already established and operating. 5. Food and board for resident students in Medellin cost over $100,000.00. 6. To these expenses we need to add the cost of traveling for native professors who have limited resources, meals for students in Venezuela, Cuba and Peru while they attend intensive weekly modules, costs of national theological conventions, books and materials, plus occasional temporary help for struggling new reformed churches.
SRL really needs about $800,000.00 a year to properly run 20 sites. However, we are grateful that with such a small budget, God is blessing this ministry with so much fruit. We pray that our Heavenly Father will move many missionaries at heart to go by helping with their prayers and financial support. Yes, we are missionaries—even by sending with financial support! Please share these needs with friends who have been financially blessed and would like to make an investment of eternal consequence by helping to fulfill the last command of the Lord Jesus before he ascended into heaven. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, … (Matt. 28:19a NKJV). From everyone who gives it willingly … (Ex.25:2b)
By God’s mercy, through SRL, many are blessed with the call to go. These
After 20 years of labor, SRL has been blessed with many opportunities. Hundreds of SRL students have become pastors. Many have planted solid Biblical churches, or assisted in the reformation of churches. Besides the spreading the reformation fire, this movement is also creating opportunities for congregations from North America to send missionary groups.Sincerely in Christ,
